2019 BAFTA NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

LUX is excited to share the following client’s projects which have been nominated for a 2019 BAFTA award: Director Yorgos Lanthimos’ THE FAVOURITE has been nominated for 12 awards including Best Production Design for Fiona Crombie and Best Editing by Yorgos Mavropsaridis, ACEBEAST, directed by Michael Pearce and shot by Director of Photography Benjamin Kračun landed nominations for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut by a British writer, Director or Producer. Nominated for Outstanding British Film and Leading Actor is BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, directed by Bryan Singer with 2nd Unit shot by Director of Photography Nanu Segal. Also nominated for Outstanding British Film is YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE, directed by Lynne Ramsey and shot by Director of Photography Tom Townend. Receiving nominations for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer are: APOSTASY, directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and shot by Director of Photography Adam Scarth, and RAY & LIZ, directed by Richard Billingham and shot by Daniel Landin, BSC. Nominated for Best Film Not in The English Language: CAPERNAUM, directed by Nadine Labaki, shot by Christopher Aoun and edited by Konstantin BockIF BEALE STREET COULD TALK, directed by Barry Jenkins and shot by James Laxton has been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Timothée Chalamet has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work in BEAUTIFUL BOY, directed by Felix Van Groeningen, shot by Ruben Impens, SBC and edited by Nico Leunen. Editor Nicolas Chaudeurge’s work on director Sandhya Suri’s THE FIELD has been nominated for Best British Short Film. The awards will be announced on 10 February.
