We’re excited to share the latest additions to the 2019 TIFF line-up. Making its world premiere in the Platform Presentations is SOUND OF METAL, directed by Darius Marder and edited by Mikkel E.G. Nielsen. Also making its world premiere in Discoveries is HOPE, directed by Maria Sødahl and shot by Director of Photography Manuel Alberto Claro. SEBERG, directed by Benedict Andrews and shot by Director of Photography Rachel Morrison, ASC has been selected for Special Presentations. Screening in the Midnight Madness section are: SAINT MAUD, directed by Rose Glass, shot by Director of Photography Ben Fordesman and with production design from Paulina Rzeszowszka, and COLOR OUT OF SPACE directed Richard Stanley and shot by Director of Photography Steve Annis. Selected for the Contemporary World Cinema section is INSTINCT, directed by Halina Reijn, shot by Director of Photography Jasper Wolf, NSC and edited by Job Ter Burg, ACE, NCE; LES MISÉRABLES, directed by Ladj Ly and shot by Director of Photography Julien Poupard, AFC, and THE WILD GOOSE LAKE, directed by Diao Yinan and edited by Matthieu Laclau. The festival runs from 5-15 September.
