We are proud to announce that 11 films have been selected thus far for the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. The following films selected as Gala Presentations and making their World Premieres are: BEAUTIFUL BOY, directed by Felix Van Groeningen, shot by Ruben Impens, SBC and edited by Nico Leunen and, HIGH LIFE, directed by Claire Denis, with production design by François-Renaud Labarthe. Making its Canadian Premiere is GALVESTON, directed by Mélanie Laurent and shot by Arnaud Potier, AFC. The following films have been selected for the Special Presentation section, making their world premieres are: IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK, directed by Barry Jenkins and shot by James Laxton, and THE HUMMINGBIRD PROJECT, directed by Kim Nguyen, shot by Nicolas Bolduc, CSC, edited by Nicolas Chaudeurge and production design by Emmanuel Fréchette. Making its international premier is GIRLS OF THE SUN, directed by Eva Husson with production design by David Bersanetti. There are North American premieres for; CAPERNAUM, directed by Nadine Labaki, shot by Christopher Aoun and edited by Konstantin Bock and, SUNSET (NAPSZÁLLTA), directed by László Nemes and shot by Mátyás Erdély, HSC. Also making their Canadian premieres are: COLETTE, directed by Wash Westmoreland and cut by Associate Editor, Fiona DeSouza; NON-FICTION, directed by Olivier Assayas with production design by François-Renaud Labarthe, and WILDLIFE, directed by Paul Dano and shot by Diego Garcia. The festival runs from 6- 16 September.
